MY BLOG POSTS

The Washington Post wrote this week about the languages we speak at home, measured at the county level across the United States. While about 80 percent of U.S. households are English speaking, there are large pockets of households with other dominant languages.

For this year's Geography Awareness Week, I was interviewed by Elizabeth Engelman Bussett at Mova International. We talked about what geography actually entails, the power of maps, and why geographic education matters so much.
